THE CULPRIT

The Bay's lights shown through the fog that night
And like the sky, he wore black for the diamonds, jewelry, money, and gold
No more than twenty years old

He made his way, into the shadows
Sirens blare, coppers in choppers in the air
Everywhere
There was no time to re-align in his mind

I am the Culprit
But I am no Criminal
And if you knew my life
Well then you would see
There was no choice for me
But to steal from this place and get my Gold
For free

Some wondered why he led this life of crime
As a boy, showered with everything but love and joy
Something nothing should be put above
Love, love, love

And the law came closing in
Only he against a hundred men
The end was near as he welled up in fright and fear again, again, and again

I am the Culprit
But I am no Criminal
And if you knew my life
Well then you would see
There was no choice for me
But to steal from this place and get my Gold
For free
